Thank you for your interest in my work and me. I will do my best so that the time you spent visiting my web-page shall not pass for you in vain.

I was born in one of the most beautiful countries of the world Georgia, in particular in its capital Tbilisi. The district where I have grown up is remarkable as there are located many theatres and cinemas of the city. So it is not surprising that I fell in love with the theatre from the childhood. I entered the Theatre and Film State Institute of Georgia as soon as I graduated from high school.

Many years passed before I became a well-known and recognized actress of stage and screen. During these years I performed a big variety of roles starting from Georgian queens and to the queen of Denmark (“Hamlet” – Gertrude), from the modern woman struggling with daily problems to Macbeth (for the latter I received the special award).

I have played a lot of interesting roles in movies as well. I would like to distinguish some of them. Firstly, it is my role in the movie directed by Nana Jorjadze “A Chef in Love”. The movie was nominated on Oscar as the best foreign film in 1996. My partner in this movie was a famous French actor Pier Richard. My role in the movie “The Empty Space” directed by Mikho Borashvili is a noteworthy too. For this film I was awarded a price for the best actress on the festival of CIS and Baltic States in Anapa, 2001 and on Moscow movie festival “Zolotoi Vitiaz” in 2002.

I would like to tell you one more interesting fact from my life. In 2004 a young teacher of French language from Montana, USA visited Georgia. As it turned out she saw the movie “A chef in love” and liked it so much that showed it to her pupils. Afterwards this movie was shown in many schools of the United States. The young lady was so inspired by my role that she came to Georgia just to see me and found me by help of Erick Johnson, the Council of Sweden in Georgia. This is one of the most precious awards for the actress when a person from another country brings you love and recognition of so many other people.
